Pensacola Lighthouse

The Pensacola light station was established in 1825, with the current tower being constructed in 1859. Although different sources list the height anywhere from 160 feet to 175 feet, the National Parks Service lists the height as 171 feet. Constructed of brick, it has a black top with a white bottom. The still operating light is a First Order Fresnel Lens.The light is located on the Pensacola Naval Air Station on Route 292 South. The grounds to the lighthouse are open to the public.
